the friends of the marionnettesA non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, Puppetry encompasses many of the art forms. It has been around since the history of man began. It is appreciated by people all over the world, however, it is in danger of disappearing. Without the efforts that our organization is doing, this art form may die out. Even though new, innovative, quicker ways of building puppets are being developed every day, we feel that the old-world method of building puppets must be preserved and taught, or it will be gone forever. The Friends of the Marionnettes has been in existence since 1984. During the past 23 years we have supported performances in city and county schools of the Saint Louis area. We have funded an anti-drug program called "The Winners" and have supported an apprentice program with the Bob Kramer Marionnettes among other projects.
